BJ is a technical specialist in Internet of Things, Cybersecurity, and Machine learning. He specializes in taking a holistic approach to technical and security architecture design and implementation, incorporating the business and marketing structures into a technical strategy that makes connected products successful. He is a Venture Partner at Broadline Capital where he works with technology organizations during periods of IPO and M&A activities. He is a Principle Investigator at the Center for Automotive Research at The Ohio State University where he leads both government and industry sponsored research projects in autonomous vehicles, artificial intelligence, machine learning, blockchain, energy systems, and IoT systems. He has successfully started and sold companies in the energy space, some of which have become the GE Wattstation and the Belkin Wemo. BJ holds degrees in both computer science and mechanical engineering from The Ohio State University.
